I have long ago heard of shrimp farming, and because almost everything I read about it sounds gross, I generally stay away from eating shrimp. The diseases you mention, such as yellow head and white spot syndrome sound quite debilitating to the shrimp, and as far as I figure, any chemicals used to kill the diseases must be worse than the diseases themselves. So when I order a dish at a restaurant, unless I know where the shrimp came from, and that it is a clean place, you can be sure I&#039;ll order vegetarian, or at least the dish without shrimp!

Have you seen where they grow seaweed for production? I like sushi rolls, especially with dried seaweed (nori). I&#039;d love to hear about it if you see any nori production facilities in your travels!</description>
